A chain and sprocket travel is a type of power transmission in which a roller chain engages with several toothed wheels or sprockets, used in engines as a drivefrom crankshaft to camshaft.
Ever-power is proud to stock a wide collection of Sprockets along with this huge variety of agriculture, gardening, food preparation and outdoor goods. We stand behind all 26,000 items we sell with this Satisfaction Guarantee. Customer Service may be the cornerstone of our family business, and has been for over 50 years.
Application
Ever-power drive sprockets provide rugged, reliable service and show replaceable tooth plates for easy field maintenance. Tooth plates for 102 and 142 series chain can be found with a segmental/symmetrical reversible tooth profile. The 142 DBL, TPL along with the 175 and 260 series use our nonsymmetrical profile.
Travel sprockets weren’t always made to be bolted in. At one time they were welded onto the final drive motor and needed to be minimize off if they were replaced. Ultimately, welded-on adapters were mounted that allowed the sprocket to become bolted on, and newer designs use the bolted approach altogether.
When someone sends in a final drive motor for all of us to look into or?rebuild/reman, we advise them to eliminate the sprocket. We don’t require the sprocket in spot to evaluate the motor and the added excess weight (which is often significant) unnecessarily increases your shipping costs.
Signs of Sprocket Wear
One’s teeth on a drive sprocket are where you search for wear . They should be tall and toned at the end, not sharp or dished by the end. And the sprocket, and more specifically its teeth, commence to wear, its diameter becomes scaled-down. This causes what’s known as a pitch mismatch, where the the teeth on the sprocket no longer interact with the track backlinks as effectively. This may accelerate the use of the sprocket and reduce the efficiency of your equipment.
If your sprocket shows sign of excessive wear, then its time to displace it before it starts to cause abnormal track wear or starts to negatively affect the performance of your final drive electric motor.
Preventing Sprocket Wear
One of the key ways to prevent accelerated sprocket dress in is to check the track tension. If the tension is too tight, it’ll cause use on the sprocket tooth. We’ve talked before about the importance of keeping the undercarriage clean, and the health of the undercarriage make a difference the track tension (particularly if there is definitely a build-up of dried mud and particles). That’s the main reason we put so much emphasis on keeping the undercarriage clean
Conclusion
With out a functioning drive sprocket, your track drive won’t manage to propel your machine. Fortunately, there are ways to help your drive sprocket go longer: keep the track pressure at an effective level and keep your undercarriage clean.
DRIVE SPROCKET
The undercarriage of your track machine ought to be inspected regularly. If you find early wear or harm to your tracks, a put on sprocket could be the cause.

All Ever-electric power sprocket tooth profiles are induction hardened to 55 Rockwell C., and so are replaceable. The replacement and maintenance of tooth plate segments will not require removing of the travel shaft, bearings, etc. Ever-power also designs customized split hub pieces for retrofit applications that minimize field labor costs.
At first glance, you might feel that if you’ve seen one drive sprocket, you’ve seen all of them. However, Ever-vitality provides added an I.D. lip and spiral band that captivate the needle bearing along with an exterior snap ring that increases performance and dependability. While simple to overlook, it’s this attention to detail that the racer features come to expect from Ever-power.
